I never realized they made a four-door version of the Viper-engined Ram SRT10. I like it. Also, a few things I discovered with my car.
A) A 24 gallon fuel tank is not cheap to fill, even when you don't quite drain it:
B) The cupholder design is, as I've mentioned, idiotic. There is only one front cupholder, it is too tiny for anything other than a juice box, and it shares a compartment with the GPS controls, so even the tiniest spill will short out the car's electrics and ruin the car. However, Audi, being German, engineered a clever alternative:

Back in the day when I sold insurance I was at this guys house having a conversation with him, and he noticed I had pulled up in a Mustang, so he gets all excited and says "Hey, you wanna see my viper?". I'm all like hell yea lets go! and so he has me follow him out to his garage, where one of these trucks was sitting. I was visibly disappointed in him.

the viper engine, which was of course originally developed from a truck engine.
so really, it's a truck with a truck engine :)

I like the short cab better since it comes with the 6-speed manual. If I ever move to another country like japan or germany, I'm bringing one over. I will ALWAYS have two american flags in the bed. I will also wear a captain america outfit while driving.

Depending on how much you pay for one of these, you could get a Cummins, modify it, and have something quicker, more economical, and useful.

You should go drive it through Belgium.

Or you could, ya know, buy one that comes with a Cummins in the first place.

I'd use it to take over belgium but in fairness I'd do the same to poland and france too.

That's what I meant, instead of buying one of these, buy a Ram with a Cummins.

Oh, for some reason I thought you meant a Cummins swap. Derp.
I kinda like the idea of a Viper V10, because it's pointless and it sounds cool.

For less than 5 grand you can get a Ram 2500/3500 with the 8.0 V10.

I want one of these so bad, I test drove one before buying blacktruck but, I couldn't convince Mrs blacktruck that 14 mpg highway was in any way practical. They are somewhat cheap to maintain, basically they are a Ram pickup as long as you don't kill the drive line or a wheel you are paying for Ram 1500 parts. I will say this about the test drive it was a very strange feeling pacing a C5 Corvette Z06 in a truck on the interstate (in Mexico of course) at triple digit speeds.

Yes but it's not nearly as nice a truck:
And not as fast, unless you are prepared to fiddle.

I parked next to an SRT10 Ram at the mall a couple days ago, bright red, quad cab. I want one so bad, just for the inefficient lulz

Might look better, but the quality is probably the same. Plus, it would be more than adequate power wise because even a 3500 probably weighs about the same as an SRT10. Plus, dat sound. The Ford V10 sounds better though, IMO:
Video might give you a seizure, but the Ram V10 ain't no slouch:

The 90's Ram V10 may be better value, but it's different. It's just a massive engine stuck in a normal truck. The SRT10 is a newer, faster, more thoroughly engineered "sports truck". If you need, and I mean really need a full-sized 4x4 pickup with a huge engine, the Ram 3500 or F350 are great. But they are not the same as the Ram SRT10, which is a toy. I have no practical use for a pickup, so if I were buying one it would be as a fun novelty. And the SRT10 wins on that front.

Yeah, I can understand that.

Plus, all the smartest, most refined people with the most driving skill drive SRT Rams.

I still say that trophy goes to Jeep owners:
12 seconds of pure enjoyment for someone who doesn't get the Jeep hype.

It's almost as cool. And rarer.

Actually, they made the crew cab with a manual too

No, they only offered it with a 5-speed automatic. Unless someone did a reeeeeeeally special order for one or swapped one in themselves, the automatic was the only one on dealer lots. It had different rear end and drive shaft so I'm wondering if that's why they switched?

I guess I saw a swapped one then. I saw a yellow one with 6 speed the other day.

Wouldn't surprise me, but I would like to know what all he had to change to make it happen.

I wish I had asked. I'm guessing cut a hole in the floor and a custom driveshaft.

the crew came with 4 speed only
the regular cab is the best SRT-10
